What you’ll do:
You will be a part of our knowledgeable and highly experienced team of engineers and will work on a wide range of projects that will help grow your skills set. Each day in the life of a Broadcast Engineer is sure to be different as you tackle multiple projects including equipment repairs, building maintenance, and the occasional facility issue (which may happen at any time of the day or night)! You will also assist with installation of computer hardware and software and digital video and audio hardware and software across all departments and handle vehicle inventory and maintenance along with inventory station assets. You will work with all departments including News, Production, Programming, Operations, Administration and Sales so the ability to work well and communicate easily with others must come naturally.
What you’ll bring:
Working knowledge and understanding of digital broadcast technical systems are preferred but we are willing to train the right person. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their ability to analyze and solve problems, works well with others in high-pressure situations, and has advanced skills with Excel, Word, CAD and other MS Windows applications. A BSEE College Degree or an ASEE College Degree with minimum two-year relevant experience is preferred, but if you have networking, IT, video over IP experience, that is a great foundation to build on. Safety is a number one priority of this job. You must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license with the ability to drive, and work safely in inclement weather conditions. Lifting equipment weighing approximately 50 pounds and climbing ladders safely is also an integral part of the job.
