Being a Digital Content Manager for KAPP TV and KVEW TV means you have creative freedom to try new things while working in a close-knit, community-minded news family in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. What you’ll do:
As a Digital Content Manager, you’ll be part of a growing news team who loves what they do and why they do it. You will work with local and corporate partners to help develop and adapt strategies for digital platforms which involve creating, developing and managing content for KAPP-KVEW TV’s digital properties. You will partner with the News Director to formulate a plan that maximizes the success of the digital content team. The Digital Content Manager position offers a unique opportunity to create compelling digital content, keep current with emerging web technologies through on-going training, and use data and digital metrics to understand and assess audience behavior, to help guide strategy and a team of journalists to deliver content to key audiences. What you’ll bring:
A Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing or a related field preferred but 2+ years of experience managing content and production for high-traffic websites will get the job done, too. You’ll need knowledge of HTML, WordPress, SEO, RSS and FTP and basic Adobe Photoshop skills, and familiarity with Google Analytics, Chartbeat is a plus. If you’re self-motivated, able to work in a deadline-driven environment and enjoy working collaboratively with others, the Digital Content Manager position is for you.
