We have an immediate temporary part-time opening for a Master Control Operator to join the WBUP-TV newsroom. This is a multi-month temporary position with the possibility of future long-term employment. You’ll join a top-notch team dedicated to the success of WBUP-TV programming.
What you’ll do:
- Monitor control room syndicated broadcasting
- Play local commercials as needed during live national events
- Take incoming calls as needed
- Be willing to cover any other board shifts throughout the week and weekend as needed
What you’ll bring:
- Experience with on air switching, routing, timing calculation, program recording and preparation
- Detailed monitoring of network transmissions for quality control
- Experience generating and executing play lists on automation system
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve programming issues prior to air
- Good program log reading skills to ascertain correct program, spot and station break schedules
