Morning Technical Director

My UP News seeks a technical director for our morning news program.

Candidates should be prepared to take a collaborative leadership role in the broadcast production of our newscasts. You would work with camera, audio, and graphics operators along with the on-air talent to cleanly execute all aspects of the program.

We are looking for someone who can maintain a calm and focused attention to detail during breaking news and other changes during a live broadcast.

Additional Job Description

· Review all video/audio/graphics prior to broadcast, helping to maintain station quality standards

· Communicate with graphics, audio, and camera technicians about the overall appearance and execution before, during, and after the newscast

· Controlling video, audio, and camera selection using a Ross video switcher

· Assisting News and Production departments with live video and recording as needed

· Training new production assistants in the various supporting roles related to news production

Requirements & Skills

· Bachelor’s degree in television production, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience

· Experience with a Ross video switcher is preferred
