Being a News Photojournalist means going places other people don’t get to go. This is an opportunity to work with a collaborative news team who keeps our community informed every day.  KAPP-KVEW TV is looking for a News Photojournalist to add to our staff to be a part of our proud legacy of storytelling. What you’ll do:

You’ll be a part of our tight-knit news team and will set up live shots in the field for our reporters and shoot video of breaking news, community events and other stories. We’ll teach you how to operate our camera equipment and also how to turn an interview and some b-roll into compelling news content to air on TV and digital platforms. Your voice will matter in making daily decisions about news coverage and creative ways to tell stories.

What you’ll bring:

A 4-year degree and/or equivalent work experience is preferred, but we’re ready to train you if you’re eager and excited to do the job. It’s great if you have basic knowledge of broadcast quality camera equipment and some editing experience. You’ll need to be a dependable worker who is also self-motivated and able to work in a deadline-driven environment.

Pay range: $15.75/hour – $17.00/hour

Benefits: We offer employees and their families medical, dental, vision, prescription, life insurance, and Employee Assistance Program benefits. Employees are also offered long-term disability insurance, flexible spending account, 401(k), health savings account, employee referral program, and paid time off including vacation time equivalent to 80 hours/year depending on start date, 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked, 2 personal days and 9 paid holidays.
