Newscast Director

WKBT News 8 Now is looking for a full-time Newscast Director. This job involves operating a high-end, production video switcher during live newscasts. This is a leadership role in the control room and requires excellent communication skills in a high-pressure environment. Other duties include making broadcast-quality news graphics and promotions following style guidelines and in collaboration with news producers and reporters. A strong creative portfolio in Photoshop is preferred. Experience with video switchers, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Avid Media Composer, Avid iNews, or cameras and videography is also a major bonus.

Directors work specific newscast schedules, but hours may vary.
