News 3 Now seeks a Production Coordinator to help produce local shows and content. The desired content could be segments and interview-based, highlighting community events and local businesses. The right candidate will be a creative thinker who can produce engaging, entertaining, and informative content. The Production Coordinator collaborates with various departments, including Sales, Community, Creative Services, and News. This person must be detail-oriented, able to work well under pressure, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Produce entertaining and informative shows. Participate in meetings with the Sales Department and/or clients to successfully meet business needs, guide them toward good content decisions and coach them on best practices for TV. Create show and segment graphics and edit video. Write digital content, edit clips for the Web site, and drive social media engagement with a strong Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube presence. Perform other duties as assigned, including producing other sponsored local specials. Basic editing skills Familiarity with AVID, Premier, BitCentral, and other popular editing programs
Requirements & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Fluency in English Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and other office equipment Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to drive to and from all work assignments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience operating video equipment in the studio or on location, including cameras, lighting, audio, character generators, computers, audio-video computer applications, editing, and presentation systems
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Excellent customer relations and strategic skills
Excels under tight deadlines
Organized with attention to detail
Must have strong writing and producing skills
Valid WI driver’s license
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, especially video editing
Knowledge of technical aspects of cable television systems, broadcasting and playback equipment
able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
Must be physically capable of collecting video in the field including carrying cameras and equipment, up to 40 lbs
