WISC/News 3 NOW has an immediate opening for an IT Helpdesk Associate to join the team in Madison, WI. This position serves as the main point of contact for employee IT support, and you will perform maintenance on computer and phones systems along with troubleshooting and repairs when problems arise. You’ll be joining a long-tenured team of IT and Engineering professionals inside of a high-performing local broadcast television station while working for a family-owned company in one of America’s most livable cities. What You’ll Do:
- Provide support to internal users with a focus on remote/phone support.
- Support PC and LAN/WAN issues
- Process and maintain Helpdesk tickets.
- Perform basic computer hardware and software maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- Follow established process and procedures to plan, install, test, and implement computer system hardware or software technologies.

What You’ll Bring:
- Technical/IS/associate degree (completed or in-progress) or equivalent training in Information Systems, Computer Science, or technical customer support.
- 1-2 years of hands-on technical support and Hardware Break/Fix experience preferred.
- General knowledge of workstation support in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Microsoft Office applications. MacOS skills are also desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- LAN/WAN experience preferred, including setup and configuration of Windows workstations on a LAN.
- Strong skills in troubleshooting and repair of workstations.
- Strong people skills – ability to both listen and communicate effectively.
- Strong organizational skills.
