Morgan Murphy Media seeks a detail-oriented Traffic and Programming Assistant/Receptionist for our Alpena, MI television station. In addition to supporting programming and traffic operations, you will answer phones, greet visitors, and provide excellent customer service. This is a great opportunity to learn about the broadcast media industry and contribute to a team that values community service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage daily program logs
- Schedule commercials, promotions, and public service announcements
- Ensure correct spot placement per client and regulatory guidelines
- Coordinate with sales, production, and programming teams
- Resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records
- Support data entry, reporting, and special projects
- Answer phones and direct calls professionally
- Greet visitors and provide a welcoming front desk presence
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Friendly and professional demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in broadcast traffic, programming, admin support, or receptionist roles
- Familiarity with traffic or scheduling software
- WideOrbit experience preferred
